As a condition of free and/or paid computer use the following rules have been established:
- Users must present their borrower’s card and sign in at the service desk.
- Individuals without a borrower’s card may use computers for a fee of $3.00, subject to all rules, and upon presentation of acceptable identification.
- Time limit is one (1) hour per day, one time per day. There is a fee of $3.00 for each additional hour. (Between the hours of 2:00pm and 5:00pm only 1/2 hour worth of computer time is allowed. Additional 1/2 hour increments may be purchased for $1.50 if needed.)
- You will be responsible for keeping track of your computer time (1hr). There is a clock located in the bottom right corner of your computer desktop. Please make a note of the time you sign on. A fine will be charged if you exceed the time limit.
- No more than one person is allowed at the computer workstation unless permitted by library staff.
- Printing is $.10 (ten cents) per sheet. You must pay for everything you print including errors, duplicates, and wasted copies.
- We do not permit the saving and/or installing of any documents, programs, etc., onto our computer workstations. Anyone found doing so will be subject to the restriction and/or revocation of their computer privileges. Computer disks may be purchased at the circulation desk for $1.00.
- Do not shut down the computers under any circumstances. If you are having trouble please see a staff member who may be able to provide assistance.
- No food or drink, and/or no eating or drinking in the library or at the computer workstations.
- All patron computers are shut down 15 minutes prior to the hour of closing, (i.e. when the library closed at 8:00 PM, computers are shut down at 7:45 PM; when the library closes at 5:00 PM, computers are shut down at 4:45 PM). There will be no exceptions.
- The Library reserves the right to request users to close down a site or cease viewing material that the staff deem to be unsuitable for display in a public space.
COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES IS A CONDITION OF USE OF PUBLIC ACCESS INTERNET WORKSTATIONS AT THIS LIBRARY. IF YOU CHOOSE NOT TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE THE WORKSTATION.
