Donate Your Morro Castle Artifacts and Memorabilia!

There is No Memorial to the Morro Castle Disaster!

The Asbury Park Historical Society intends to change that and will dedicate a large marble monument in memory of the victims, survivors and emergency first-responders to the September 8, 1934 maritime disaster - commemorating its 75th anniversary.

The cost for the monument, base, and electric lighting is estimated at $10,000. The monmument will be dedicated in a garden area on the southern side of Convention Hall on Sept. 8 this year.

While some money has been raised toward the monument - more is needed. If you, as an individual or as a group or organization, would like to send a financial contribution, it will be greatly appreciated.

Every little bit helps!
